How do I register my company for the FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship 2025?

What is the registration fee, and how can I pay it?
The registration fee for the championship is 500 Euros per team. Detailed payment instructions are available on the registration page.
Can multiple teams from the same company participate?
Yes, multiple teams from the same company are allowed to participate in the championship. Each team must be registered separately, and the relevant location should be clearly indicated in the team's name during registration.
Are there any eligibility criteria for team members?
All players must be employees or board members since at least March 1, 2025. Business owners owning more than 10% of the company can participate.
How many players can be in a team, and can the team composition change?
Each team must have four players during any playing date and one captain, who may or may not be a player. Teams may have different compositions for each stage of the competition. No player can play for more than one team in the competition, except under Article 7.4.
What are the tournament stages, and how does the qualification process work?
The championship consists of online qualifiers, online knockout stages, and finals. Teams compete in the qualifiers to advance to the knockout stages, with the winners proceeding to the finals. The winning team will receive the official title of FIDE World Corporate Champion 2025 – The Smartest Company in the World. Teams reaching the knockout stage will also secure seats for an online simul against a participant of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026. Every registered team will receive a digital certificate and access to networking and training opportunities.
How is fair play ensured during the championship?
The championship implements online fair play measures, Online Fair Play is governed by the Chief arbiter and the online host (LiChess) according to FIDE's Fair Play Regulations. Suspected fair-play violations are thoroughly investigated, and appropriate sanctions may be imposed on violators.
